What We Cover

Safety and Boundaries

Parents in a supportive group discussion about safety and boundaries

What this looks like at home

You want your child to be respectful, but also protected and able to speak up. You worry about unsafe adults, unsafe peers, and children who cannot name what happened. You also face boundary issues at home, privacy, inappropriate touching between children, or oversharing online. You want clear body safety teaching without fear, and you want your child to trust you enough to tell you the truth.

What is usually driving it

Children need explicit teaching about body boundaries, consent language, privacy, and safe versus unsafe secrets. Many families avoid these conversations or only warn. Some children struggle to assert boundaries because they were taught to obey adults without question. Safety improves when children have language, practice, and clear family rules. It also improves when adults respond calmly to disclosures, so children keep talking instead of shutting down.

What we work on

  • Body safety teaching in age appropriate language
  • Agency and consent, privacy, safe touch, speaking up
  • Family rules around secrets, gifts, and private spaces
  • Online safety conversations and boundaries, without panic
  • Safe adult maps and simple check in routines
  • What to do if your child discloses something worrying
  • How to respond without interrogation, shame, or silence

Tools you will learn

Scripts by age for body safety, boundaries, and consent. Simple role plays to practise speaking up with adults and peers. Templates for family rules, a safe adult map, and a disclosure response plan, what to say, what not to say, and what steps to take next. The focus is protective routines your child can remember and use.

Suggested ways to get support

Talks and seminars are ideal for schools and organisations that want safeguarding and body safety education. Workshops work well for parents who want clear language and routines. 1 to 1 coaching is best if you need a tailored plan for your family situation or you are navigating a specific concern.
